Lower ground floor

Drinking water:

Our kitchen tap will dispense filtered, sparkling, and boiling hot water. To use it, press down the button at the base of the tap and turn right:

  • Still: hold down and turn right – there will be a solid blue light

  • Boiling: tap twice until the light is red and turn right

  • Sparkling: turn right quickly – there will be a flashing blue light. When the CO2 canister is empty, you will need to order a new one.

When done, turn it back to the left and release so that the button is back to its original position.

Microwave and oven: There are two microwave/ovens: the top is the microwave, and the bottom is the oven. To use the microwave, press the On/Off button, then press the “menu” button, turn the knob to the right so it says “microwave”, press the “next” arrow, and adjust the heat and time using the knob. To use the oven, press the On/Off button, press “start”, and use the knob to adjust the heat

Cooking hob: We use an induction hob, not gas, so only the cookware that we have provided will be compatible.

Dishwasher: There is a dishwasher to the left of the sink. To use the dishwasher, put in the dishwashing tab, pull the cover closed, and press the start button. It will start running when you close the door.

Utility room salts: Our water is softened, and the salt is replenished in the utility room next to the door. Here is how to add new ones, and you can order the ones we use here.

Safe: We have installed a safe that you’re welcome to use. The code is 221220#

Trash:

Our bin under the sink has space for both recycling and normal trash. When it is full, you can take it outside - exit out of the utility room door, turn left, and you will see large dumpsters. The black one is for general waste, and the blue one is for recycling. There are more trash bagsinside right on top of the bin.

Washer / dryer:

The washer / dryer are in the utility room by the lower ground door. The washer is on the bottom, and the dryer is on the top. To use the washer, put a laundry pod in (there are some in a box above the dryer), and use the knob to adjust the settings / time. To use the dryer, press the power button and turn the knob to adjust the settings / time. You MUST empty the water from the dryer after each wash by taking out the compartment on the top left.

Sauna:

Help yourself to our outdoor infrared Sauna. Here is a quick video on how to turn it on and off - you will want to heat it for 20-40 minutes before you want to use it. To clean it, you can use some Sauna cleaner every 10 uses. We have left some spare ones in the cupboard above the utility sink

Garden maintenance:

We have left a few tools for garden maintenance in a shed outside the back door. The code is 3715
